A Frigid Summit on Vinson

We reached the top of Mount Vinson yesterday under clear, but cold, skies. We had temperatures in the realm of -30 C, and 30 MPH winds – definitely cold! But, the team did great, and we unfurled the 1966 flag on the summit from the first ascent party. Pretty cool!

We’re now all safely down at Basecamp. More adventures await. Be sure to check out the full dispatches, photos, and audio at the First Ascent blog: http://blog.firstascent.com !
