New Everest Images now Online
Everest season is fully upon us, with great reporting trickling in through top sources like Alan Arnette and others.
There’s a lot going on this year, with a feature film of “Into Thin Air” being shot (with help from my colleagues Kent Harvey, David Morton, Guy Cotter, and others); Joby Ogwen is planning to fly from the summit in a wingsuit; Steve Obbayi and Toilet Hackers are climbing the mountain to raise money for global sanitation; and much more. As always, it will be an exciting time!
Over the years, I’ve shot tens of thousands of photos (and hours of video footage) on my 7 Everest expeditions, most of which have not made it off my hard drives and into the public eye. But, I just did a big edit, and pulled out a number of my top images and favorite shots from these expeditions – from our 1999 Mallory & Irvine Research Expedition to the 2003 Global Extremes reality TV show to my 2012 attempt on the West Ridge with David Morton, Charley Mace, and Brent Bishop.
There are a lot of fun images in here, and I’ll be adding more in the weeks to come. Take a look using the slideshow below, or just click straight through to the main gallery. And, I’ve added some more panoramas in my Gigapan portfolio as well.
